unique opportunities include attending international exchange programs in business schools in europe, completing coursework while participating in a travel study led by some of the business faculty, and interning with senior government leaders while studying at the laurentian leadership centre in ottawa.

busi 111 • introduction to business and management
in this course, modern business is studied in its various aspects: economic and social setting, business classifications and financial requirements, business structure and functional areas, basic concepts and techniques, practices and responsibilities, and career opportunities in business.
busi 317 • investment theory
a study of financial markets and the various instruments traded on those markets including how these instruments are priced. other topics explored include portfolio theory, market efficiency, and equilibrium, asset analysis, asset allocation, and portfolio management.
busi 413 • business as mission
this course examines the emerging role of business as mission in both international and domestic contexts. the general themes taught in this course include: the theology of business as a vehicle for cross-cultural mission and specific, for-profit business models and case studies.
after graduation
twu’s school of business graduates are found in many professional careers and business enterprises. our graduates are running businesses; they are cfos, entrepreneurs, and many are bringing their business skills to the not-for-profit sector. a number of our graduates go on to further professional studies in law, accounting, and graduate degrees in business (mba).
